Milk, OJ and Gas

Here in MA, prices on these three commodities are either low or falling. Milk and OJ are dirt cheap and have been for some time, gas (93) is $.40/gal cheaper today than it was 3 weeks ago.

Any other reports around the country?

Gas just cracked the $4 level here at $3.99.9. Some places are still $4.19.9. Last week in New Mexico (Las Cruses), I paid $3.32.9.

Isn't it nuts that a (bulk) gallon of gas costs more than a jug gallon of milk?

Diesel is less than regular here these days - I like it!

I just put in $100 worth today. I think it was 4.08. What is it out your way? Upland was it or Glendora?

Gas here has been bouncing around the past few weeks. I bought 93 for the 911 last weekend for 3.89. Yesterday, it was back up to 4.19.

Diesel has remained about the same since spring at about 3.80.

How far can you drive on a gallon of milk?

Wow! Gas in Montana and Wyoming is traditionally very cheap, but we are at $3.69 for crappy 85 right now. Just amazing how gas prices ebb and flow around the country, even when taking state and local taxes into account.

I am in the San Fernando valley now. $3.79. Glendora is $3.71. I only have a TDI Golf, so filling up is under $50 and lasts for 600 miles.

$3.69 for 85 octane in Creede, CO yesterday. They truck it in 285 miles from Denver, or Albuquerque.

$4.59 per gallon for regular 87 octane in Toronto

$5.28 for 91 octane

Our milk and OJ prices don't really vary with the market-- they stay high no matter what. OJ is +$13.00 per gallon.
