Bluetooth in my car is broken...
It seems that my 2010 Mazdaspeed3's bluetooth feature is no longer working. My iPhone worked with it on Saturday, then yesterday it just stopped. I tried my wife's HTC Android phone and my car's Bluetooth won't see it, either. When I go into the phone setup menu, it boots me back out, to the radio...
I'm really hoping this isn't going to cost a lot of $ at the dealership, but since the car is out of warranty, I'm sure it will! I use the handsfree function a lot as I have a 2.5-3 hour daily commute. Anyone here have any ideas on how to fix it or troubleshoot it? Thanks! |
Well, I did what the Mazda3 forums recommended, deleted the paired phones, power cycled the phone, then went through the pairing/discovering setup, and it works again!! Very cool that these forums are available!!

Nice, I need to try that with my Camry, it sees it but the voice quality is terrible.

what's scary is when it does finally decide to deppart from this mortal realm once and for all, how much $$$ it's gonna cost to replace.

A friend of mine had his Bluetooth fail in his 3 series BMW... Out of warranty so $800 to fix it at the dealership which he thought was reasonable. Personally I don't answer the phone when I'm driving. I just let it ring. If it's important they'll leave a message. |
In my Mazda5 the microphone is on the dash just above the air vents. My wife's Mazda3 is the same way. The audio is terrible on the other end.

Awesome, can you fix blueballs too?

I can't talk on the handsfree phone when the heater or AC is on because the mic picks up the noise. I use the handsfree phone for important calls while driving, but I keep them to an absolute minimum.
