Just after we picked him up - a year ago today in fact. He’s a bit bigger now.

Alan, that is a great picture. I love his attitude, and his eyes are bright. I bet he's a great dog.

This post was 18 months ago, after the vet told me "Tank only has a couple months to live" if I didn't biopsy his "tumors", remove them, and do chemotherapy...Chemo on a 9 year-old mastiff  I let them remove the visible tumors, but declined the biopsies and chemo.

Well, today is Tank's 11th birthday and he just chased a coyote off the property and brought in the newspaper from the road. He's going to outlive me! :D

SO GLAD to hear this, Craig! I've thought about Tank quite a bit since you posted about his "tumors".

Respect to you for being Tank's health care advocate and making responsible decisions.

Please give him a huge hug - or three - from me and the girls. SmileWavy

Well TBH he does listen rather better than his two legged brother.

Gracie came from Texas. My son is stationed at Ft. Hood and she wandered up to him on a walk with his dog. We took over parenting of her in 2018 due to his deployment and training schedule. We've always wondered what her mix is. She is 40 lbs and looks like a mini golden retriever. DNA results are in. 25% golden retriever, 25% Beagle, 12.5% labrador retriever, 12.5% cocker spaniel and 25% other companion group dogs. A true mutt :-)

This is one of the funniest things I've read in a while. U need to read the whole thing. The dog reminds me a lot of our long-gone Coonhound-Doberman mix, Diablo. I can totally seem him doing something similar. He used to go out on day long walk-abouts through the woods, across the river, maybe chase some farm animals around and then be home just in time for dinner.

Last February Buddy our Gordon Setter 'went on' to the great fields beyond, he was a classic gentle giant and has been greatly missed around the house. Our home had an empty spot to fill. First three pics are of Buddy the week he came home, and in action.

Friday I go to WI to pick up Maggie, 9 wks old. We are real excited to meet her and fill that hole in the home. Maggie is going to have a great time. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1547770136.JPG
