This 1973 911S just sold for $20,600!

Just ended @ dealer auction in CA.

Needs a little work:

No, no...not at all.

Here is the VIN, in case it does magically "rise from the ashes" somewhere soon (and hopefully is picked up by Google for any prospective buyers doing their due-diligence):

1973 Porsche 911S

VIN: 9113300066

Sold to a bidder in Florida (where nothing nefarious ever happens with auto sales).

Yep. Opening bid was $3k and ended at $20,600 with bidders from Oregon, Florida, and Portugal going back and forth.

I'm not even sure what a decent`73 S goes for (this week). The last one I saw a while back went for over $200k.

Amazing ...

I had a buddy sell his 73 targa in really nice shape to a flipper in 2007 for something like that. I should have bought it, but honestly, I thought it wasn't up to my performance standard. My SC smoked it ...

G

Edit: I still don't get what's up with these early cars, I still would not want a 73S except for resale.

LOL - no, if you get smoked, you are on the receiving end. So, that's after meeting up with my SC ...

Scotch and Porsches are things I do not care for in the smoked version, it turns out.

I know right, probably best of last month or two, Hugh's made me laugh out loud first though

I think the VIN is about the only thing you could use from that. I have it. After you grind off all the rust and replace the floor, sell it as an ultra lightweight.

Shot of it sitting on a scale, maybe have that blonde chick with the generous bosoms, Kate something, Upton, that must be the opposite of Moss. Maybe leave the metal corset at home, but have her slide off the car, hop onto adjacent scale. It could be any girl I guess, but you get the gist. Can you put videos on Evil Bay, or just pictures?

Judging by the damaged roof, I'm guessing garage fire.

The market is crazy. I saw a 911sc on our local Craigslist today and it belonged to a friend. She posted one pic and asked $12k. The pic show the car was in bad condition with need of a repaint and rust. She ended up getting 7 calls very fast and even 1 call from the mainland offering $15k!
