....its when you were growing up. so let break this down by decade

"season in the sun" for the 70's is up there but, " muskrat love" come on thats the definition of cheesy

romad 06-27-2012 09:34 AM

70's close to you"

why do birds suddenly appear every time you are near.........just like me they long to be close to you......

I still think muskrat love is chessy-ier

Nomad, speaking of the 70's:

"Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight, gonna grab me a little afternoon delight....my motto's always been, when it's right it's right...why wait until the middle of a cold dark night..."

With lyrics like that, my song has to be in the 70's section!:p

Sorry, I meant Romad

I always thought it was:

OOGA OOGA OOGA CHUCKA OOGA OOGA OOGA CHUCKA!

azasadny 06-27-2012 10:20 AM

"Billy, Don't be a Hero"...

ossiblue 06-27-2012 10:32 AM

Let's roll it back a bit.

From the 60's, "Honey" by Bobby Goldsboro.

The Smothers Brothers did a hilarious send up of it on their TV show, with a complete "tour of the Honey house." If you're old enough, you know what I mean--cheesy song, classic send up.

Here's my pick from the 80's:

We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off - Jermaine Stewart - YouTube

"We don't have to take our clothes off.......to have a good time...whoah noh!"

Are you kidding me!?! Hey, Jermaine...check out my 70's nomination. It turns out that you DO have to take your clothes off to have a good time......er, Afternoon Delight!:D

The Archies' "Sugar, Sugar"
It was the 1969 number-one single of the year.
With all the really good music that was coming out then, how did this stuff ever make it to #1.
It was during that time when "bubble gum" music was popular.
