There are full caged ones that still look sweet, and fit all your needs.
Pretty easy for a cage builder. Here is a picture of a nice caged one..

Another thing you can do (I'm going to do it on the Speedster kit car:cool:) is have the inside of the body sprayed with truck bed liner, that way, it it is hit, fiberglass splinters won't go everywhere..
