The British electric pumps were SU. The thought of Lucas making a pump that transmits a flammable substance scares the hell out of me.:D

SU fuel pumps were easy to adjust if you had the book. It was something like screw the diaphragm in until when you push it the electrical contact just cam over, then energize it and put a matchstick between the contact points, turn of the power, and then turn the diaphragm another 2/3 of a turn.

Easy and worked well if you followed the directions. If you didn't have the directions, you'd never figure it out.

So you adjust the fuel pump using a matchstick....:D
