Currently, my lawn looks like it's been on the grill... and today's supposed to be pretty hot again, so the weather people say.

Burgers, how plebian.
Most of the fireworks displays were cancelled due to lack of rain, Labor Day may be loud.

Corn from the grill. Pulled pork that was smoked and then in the crockpot all afternoon in a BBQ sauce, and bratwurst from the smoker.

Damn fine food.

It was going to steak, potatos, corn on the cob, watermelon, etc., but my wife had to work late at the hospital and the kids are watching fireworks elsewhere. So it was a frozen pizza and watermelon for me.

Had a nice spread on the BBQ just an hour ago:
Rockfish filets (caught on family charter trip)
Wild Alaskan salmon (Costco)
Gadwall Duck - male (my dog found it on a duck hunt, it was apparently shot by another hunter a few blinds down)
Zucchini
Oyster Mushroom

Sides not from the BBQ were warm potato and green salads, served with a bottle of red wine ...

We're off to the fireworks now!
