apple question...stomachmonkey?

I have a relatively new MacBook Pro. (3 months old)

When I try to send a photo by email from iPhoto, this new computer prompts me for a password. This is not the router password, nor the normal computer access password. Without the password I am am unable to send photos by email.

Any idea what password this could be or how I could disable this password feature???

I'm only guessing, but would this be your email password for your ISP? I've never run into that issue and have used Mac laptops since the early 90s.

Maybe take a screen shot by either using command-shift-3 or command-shift-4. This may help people identify what is asking for this password.

That'd be my guess.

Your ISP/mail server may require authentication to send which is something you would have set in your mail client once and never had to deal with again.

Which email service did you associate iPhoto with, if any?

My Macbook Pro does the same thing. I've never looked into it. I just drag the photo(s) onto the desktop, then attach them to my email in Apple Mail. Problem solved.
