New ATF form 4473
 

I received a starter pack of forms a week ago. I didn't really study them, the cover letter said the changes related to "aliens' ability to receive and possess firearms".

So I'm calling in a NICS check for a pawn redemption this morning and after getting his DOB she asks how he answered question 10a.
Well that was a new one on me. I quickly said yes, thinking the question dealt with 'are you the actual buyer'. She said no, that is not one of the choices. So I looked a bit closer.

10.a Ethnicity

Hispanic or Latino

Not hispanic or Latino

There are no other choices offered.

Wait, isn't that racial profiling? I guess it is NOT OK when it is done by a State agency, but it is fine when done by the BATFE...

I got my pack the other day too. And an email from NICS.
I don't know the difference between Latino and Hispanic.
Nor do I care.
