my daughter made me something
![]() Daughter came back from camp all about making little bracelets. Asked her if she wanted to see some larger stuff, showed her the Solomon Bar braid from TIAT - How to Tie a Wide Solomon Bar by TIAT - YouTube So we sat down with some short pieces and learned how to do it... and then she sat down with my remaining 70' and made me a *perfect* length sling for the homeland defense device.

Actually, I told her what I'd expect to pay retail for such a sling, and she's seeing the dollar signs. So, I'll buy some more 550 so she can make 2 or 3, and I'll put 'em in a buddy's gun shop for sale.

That's awesome. Yesterday my daughter made for me....a diaper filled with poop.
My little girl will be getting a pink Walther P22 as soon as she's got enough muscle to hold it level. I'm quite looking forward to that...

that is fantastic!!
is that an HK? back on topic. there is someone on every forum making money with those braids. she should do it!! buy her are few clasps and put her in business. i love those things. in an emergency, i would be nice to be able to pull one apart if you should have the need for an emergency tie down situation. like you had to tie up a loved one that has become a zombie, heheh.

I've got a source for the "HK sling clips" but they are $5 each, maybe $4 if I buy in bulk. Not sure that is where I want to put $$... the method I came up with for the rope - using the 2 loop knots - made attaching the sling really easy, just had to take the front loop off the rifle to bring it thru the stock end. But I was going to use the HK clips... maybe I need to go ahead and get a few just for beta testing... This one is 5 feet long, so as-is it can be used... if I need the 60+ feet of 550 in it, just gotta break the melted ends and the whole thing can unravel.
