You can't upload vids to Pelican.

They need to be hosted somewhere else like youtube and linked to/embedded here.

the video is on youtube....so how do i embed or link to the pelican reply screen?

Eric Hahl 07-12-2012 07:47 AM

Go to the video on youtube, select "share". Click the "embed" button and copy the text link that shows up.

Then go back to pelican and click on the "go advanced" button at the bottom of your new post page. Paste the text link into the box and select "preview post" to see if looks like what you want...then submit when you like what you see.

Note: Sometimes it's real slow for the preview to show up in the post box.

If the preview box is blank and tall then it's there, just have to wait a few for it to show up.

Go ahead and post, come back in 2-3 minutes and it should be there.

Add the url to the post just in case.

yhis is not a reply to a new thread but rather a reply to an existing thread. and, i do not see go advanced notation. is there a difference in the two pages and how to upload?

Eric Hahl 07-12-2012 08:44 AM

The orange "Go Advanced" button is down on the bottom of the page, below the quick reply section, scroll all the way down, you'll see it.
