Bugatti passes car doing 95 like it was standing still (video)

Watch closely from ~29 second mark

I know the Bug's owner. Not sure who was driving. There's talk that they hit 230 that day.

What say you?

Yikes!

Reminds me of years ago at Road America while on the straight towards T5 in my Ur-quattro flat out. Caught a dot in my mirror and held my line as a road going McLaren F1 passed me on the right like I was standing still. Wild.

What are these slow pokes doing in the fast lane when they know the Bugatti would by flying by them?

I've been passed many times in Germany like I was stopped while I was doing over 100 mph by both cars and bikes. A few times the wind almost knocked me onto the shoulder.

Was that "our" Zeke in the Bugatti rushing home to do more broady donuts in the cow field near Ken Brocks next film shoot?

Me too. Of course one night traffic came to a crawl a few Ks out side of Frankfurt and some car that was red could not tell anything more about was pieced out over 100 yards on the autobahn. After that I was fine with my slower 145 km.

Guy in the veyron should have to watch as his car goes in a crusher, before he heads to jail.

Seriously on a public road; not the autobahn, kills people fast

+1
Those friends should learn about the right lane for slower vehicles. Fewer lane changes for all = safer driving conditions.

Autobahnen are public roads. The difference is that everyone there knows how to drive and lane discipline is very strict.

probably australia.

when you're out in the high desert doing 150+ on a bike and you come up behind a semi doing 80 it goes from dot on the horizon to filling your visor real damn fast. not sure i have the focus to go for an extended trip on the autobahn at speeds like that.

no doubt the Bugatti is moving, but if the film car is going 95, why aren't they catching/passing traffic that is in the slow lane at the beggining of the video?

Bugatti has the spoiler up so it must be doing at least 135. Unless there's a manual over-ride for the spoiler?

While impressive to watch, this is completely stupid on public roads. If you can buy a Veyron, you have money to go to the track / salt lake / blocked off desert road and take your "footage" there. At > 150 mph things happen very fast - 220 fps!

They were expecting it, so it was stagged and planned to a certain degree. A hair more safety than a random fly-by.

I could not tell if any of the cars going the other direction were specifically Australian models. I did see a port-a-john in the road median, which I thought was a bit odd. They call them a "portaloo" over there it seems.

Roadside portaloos in the AU, see below.

Road Safety! Stop Look Listen!
Pit stop for the brave and unwary? Way out of town on the highway, a thoughtful new strategy, probably during the holidays, is that of setting up portaloos plus a wheelie bin in a number of the parking bays. Roadside areas are not necessarily very safe from passing traffic, imagine if one of these were run into! And do they sway with each passing of a B Double?

Maybe a cactus expert will chime in so we can get a location.
