I did try the door after knocking and getting no answer. It was locked. As bizarre as it sounds, it seemed impolite NOT to knock first...

If the door had been unlocked, I am 99% sure I would have gone into the room.

What did the people who were working on the QM say they saw? Did they hear anything or was whatever they witnessed (or thought they witnessed) quiet?

If you Google QM ghosts, you will get the full array. The ship is huge and full of nooks and crannies abandoned long ago such as the rope lockers and other unusual spaces. The public sees very little of the working ship and a lot of it was removed during the reconstruction.

I doubt if there's any 3rd Class or Crew's Quarters left. Just the ghosts.

I spent a full year - 1989 - doing the evening security shift on a film set.
My responsibilities included the vacant Riverview mental hospital, once home to 4-5000 patients.
Lobotomies, cold water treatments, torture, you name it.
Most of the equipment was still in place.

5 nights a week, for almost a year. Alone. Dark. Doing rounds (3 floors) with a flashlight.
Absolutely nothing odd happened, ever.
No ghosts. No odd noises. Nothing.

Yesterday we had to pull the plug on my uncle's life support. I watched him die as he gasped for his last breath. I swear i felt someone move past me out the door. I don't believe in ghosts but i can't explain what i felt. I didn't tell my brother who was standing next to me what just happened

Sorry for your loss. You are not the only one that has experienced that.

Haunted houses............

I grew up in Cobb County in Georgia. There were several houses that people claimed to be haunted. We would go around to all the "hot" spots on Halloween night and look for "haints". At one of the houses (empty at the time) a human figure and a glowing/floating light would sometimes appear in an upstairs window! One civil war antebellum type house had been used as a hospital by both the Confederate and Union armies during the battle for Atlanta. The hardwood floors just inside the main entrance had been bloodstained during the hospital use. No matter how many times the owner of the house had the floors sanded and refinished, the bloodstains always came back. He finally had the floors covered with a dark red/maroon carpet to hide the stains! Also, there was a spectre that was seen from time to time in the Marietta Confederate cemetery! Woooooo ooooo oooo...................

One of my g/f's sons has the ability to see dead people. We were at a reception and he told Lisa ( my g/f) there was a guy in the tree with oranges trying to get her attention. He couldn't figure out the oranges.
Lisa knew one of the people killed a couple of weeks earlier in the Air France jet that disappeared.
Turned out the guy she knew his last name was Clemons.
I was stone cold sober when all this was explained to me.
It was freaky to say the least.
