I know there must be a few Pelicans here that are New Order / Joy Div fans.

Who is going?

I picked up a pair of tix for Oakland, CA (OCT 05) and planning on getting tix for LA ( OCT 07) as well.

Wow, just looked at the lineup and they are touring without Peter Hook? Sorry, but New Order/Joy Division without Peter Hook is not the same band.

I say this as a huge JD/New Order fan, and I saw New Order for the first time in 1983 at the Hollywood Palladium, where their entire encore was comprised of JD songs. (I still have the shirt ;) )

Also, Peter Hook was probably the reason I picked up the bass over 25 years ago. The show won't be the same without him. Bummer, as I got excited when I saw this post. :(

I was a New Order fan. Not so sure I would want to see them now.

I noticed that they are playing at the Olympics closing ceremony. Watching that on TV is probably about all the effort I'll make, though they are playing in Chicago in October. I agree with the sentiment of the others, 20 - 25 years ago hell yes, now not so much.

they should just go by "ORDER"..now.

For Peter Hook, I attended two of his "The Light" shows in LA. Great energy, great Joy Div music!
