any good online sellers for BMW motorcycle parts ?

I recently purchased a 1976 BMW R90/6 motorcycle to check off one more item on the bucket list . Like many of you I am so spoiled by the great service from our host that I'm looking for the equivalent for my motorcycle if possible. I have a local dealership and I'll keep looking for an independent but it would be nice to order basic maintenance items like filters, gaskets etc. and have them delivered to my door. I'm sure there is plenty of experience on this board so where you guys buying parts ?

The two posted above are both great supplies for the old airheads.

Bob's and Max are stealers. If you want more reasonable pricing, try Beemerboneyard.com and ibmwr.org. Chicago BMW used to be the Suncoast of BMW bike parts suppliers. But they went out of business a year or two ago and I don't know if anyone has replaced them in the online parts biz.

Rick, for old airheads both Bob and Max have reasonable prices. More importantly they actually cater to the airhead crowd. I am not normally a fan of the dealerships, but both of those go out of their way to provide good parts service.

Congrats on joining the "airhead" community!

Not to forget BMW Motorcycle Owners of America

Excellent dealership but a long ways from you is Iron Horse Motorcycles in Tucson. They are one of the few that still work on and excel at the old airhead BMW's. They usually have parts that no one else has.

Oh, I've been to Bob's many times and it's a cool shop. But for basic maint. parts I just don't see the point in paying $16 for a BMW-stamped Mahle oil filter vs. $10 for one in a Mann or Mahle box from Beemerboneyard.

Have some, but not posted anywhere. I just got the engine out and rear wheel swing arm off. I need to repaint the frame and replace all the rubber parts, etc. Hasnt been started in over 25 years, but was in a nice dry garage in Los Angeles.
