Any Texas Pelicans just south of Dallas?

I will be in Cleburne Texas for work Weds and Thurs (8/15 and 8/16). If any Pelicans live nearby, I would be happy to meet for dinner/drinks either of those evenings.

Not looking forward to the 105 degree work days out at an oil well site!

Hey Tim.

Cleburne is directly south of Ft Worth.

Bought an hour and a half south of me.

It's a dry heat, I know, I used to say the same thing, hot is hot, but the lack of humidity does make a difference.

The temperature is tolerable in the shade. It's being out in the direct sun that hurts. It's brutally strong.

My advice, bring a good hat and pick up a can of 50 spf spray on sun block when you get here. The sun block will keep you a bit more comfortable. Loose clothing, shorts, if it's not a work hazard.

Worst part of the day is late noon into the the evening.

Cleburne is in a dry county. I worked for a company that had it's head office there. So if you want drinks other than sweat tea stay at a hotel North of there.

I will be out in the open at a well site wearing mandated long sleeve fire retardant clothing. Hopefully the job goes quickly.
