I want to go somewhere as early as tomorrow.

I would like to take a day trip with someone willing to travel with the grumpy old man. I have standing invitations and places to go, some for more than a day. I'm not going alone. If you're interested in going places or traveling short hops, let me know. We could pick up and deliver cars and parts or we could golf and fish. Hell, I don't care.

Hit me up.

I can travel a short distance to you and drive some, but the shoulder will start to ache after too many miles.

Zeke 08-11-2012 07:26 PM

I'll check back in early tomorrow. Downtown L.A. is great on early Sunday mornings.

stomachmonkey 08-11-2012 07:31 PM

If I were closer I'd be up for a road trip.

Me thinks you would make for interesting company.

recycled sixtie 08-11-2012 07:40 PM

Me too. But I am not used to having such distinguished looking company.

masraum 08-11-2012 08:33 PM

Me three.

Zeke. What an offer. I'd go for it, if I was close. I hope someone grabs the opportunity of an 'Adventure'.
.
I would tell my Kids that this would be an adventure. They'd be afraid of running out of gas and my remark would be-without any worry- think of it as an adventure.
I'm sure it would-I'm sure it would...be.

Never ever heard an offer like that before...very cool.

tweezers74 08-11-2012 10:04 PM

I love adventure. I love travel. I love road trips. But too bad I don't have vacation time. :(

Milt (Zeke).......If you ever get up my way, we'll ride dirt bikes, street bikes, snowmobiles or sports cars.....I can put you in whatever you want.....We'll put on miles, tell stories and have a drink at the end of the day........It would be an honor.......

That is so funny, I was shocked to not see the straw coboy hat with a feather, and some tufts of hair sticking out the sides(like your avatar) . I expected you to be a little rougher around the edges. Have fun whatever you end up doing Milt. I enjoy your posts, you are one of those guys who seem to have a lifetime of experiences and advice to share. You are going to have to work extra hard now, to retian that image of the crotchety old bastage that you have worked so hard to ingrain in our minds.

I disagree. He looks pretty grumpy to me. ;)

You're on a mission from God. Only two rules... don't end up in prison, and don't end up in Forest Lawn cemetery like Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor.

Buy an old beater car and put magnetic signs on the sides that say "psychiatrist to the stars" and then pick up Joe Bob and casually go around town parking in front of ex-celebrities' houses. They'll probably invite you in for brunch or beanie weenies. Just stay away from Nick Nolte's house (see the rules above).

How's this from a few years ago?

Yes I've seen that pic of Zeke, kinna like Steve McQueen looking pic. But yeah he's still grumpy ;)
Come to the right coast for your jaunts and you'll have a traveling friend.

Drive up to Oxnard on Wednesday with me. Help me hang a door and I'll buy you the best lunch we can find in Oxnard/Ventura. I'll PAY you as well (for hanging the door, had to clarify that).

On the way back, we can stop at the Santa Paula Oil Museum which apparently has an exhibit of historic British motorcycles this month. http://www.oilmuseum.net/

If you don't want to do that, you can come on the set of one of my shows tomorrow, Thursday or Friday, mostly in LA/Burbank.

I love Downtown LA right before the city wakes up....

Sorry Hugh, hauling tools 170 miles RT 2 hours each way does not appeal to me regardless of the spoils. Besides, that's 50 bucks or so in gas in my old truck. Take that money plus the lunch and put it towards the project would be my advice.

Thanks for the offer.

Santa Paula is a pretty cool town. My mother lived there for a few years. I saw a lot of it. In fact, if it were a coastal town, it would rival some of the best. Logan's at the airport used to have decent food and the view of the old planes there is uber cool. Don't know about them now.

There are some very good Mexican food places there too.

Hugh R 08-13-2012 05:25 PM

Just offering, I understand the $ don't pencil out. BUT you're still welcome to come on the set sometime. We filmed two days at the Port of Long Beach last week. You're more than welcome to come and hang with me on the Set whenever you want to.
