What gives u goosebumps...

or at least a warm fuzzy feeling if not capable of goosebumps? My recent examples: watching and listening to a brass band/drummers who had about 100 members in a group in London last week, my daughter(sorry no pics) getting approval for being a decent human being, Neil Young music, Bob Dylan music, the beauty of nature. I will just shut up now and you have your say. And yes silence

For me it's a string of great photos of wildlife I've run across lately. Some of them...especially mom and her young...are so touching. Guess I'm getting sentimental in my old age. I think if I had it to do over again I might have chosen to be a zoo vet...

Meeting the legendary Sir Jackie Stewart when he was in Perth, Western Australia last week. He is one of my heroes and his inspirational talk in front of a packed room gave me goosebumps. A very accomplished and humble man.

Not only did I sit 1m away from him at the business lunch he was hosting (pure luck that we booked the table next to the one he was sitting at, out of 58 tables of 10 people each), but he signed my copy of his autobiography, and this poster which I brought along hoping he would sign it... Which he did!

We spoke briefly and I asked him why he was wearing 2 Rolex watches.. it was so he could have one on European time and the other on Australian time!

I met him and Mario Andretti years ago at a Can Am in Watkins Glen. It was Stewart's 'experimental' vacuum car trial... Would have worked they say, except that it kept sucking up pebbles etc. and broke down... That's what I read at the time, anyway...

what gives me goosebumps..more the heebe jeebes..is random hole patterns. for example a telephone pole that has been attacked by woodpeckers..they hide that nut inside..it looks like a skin disease. man, i once set up a turkey blind next to a pole like that..i had to move..it tickled my arm all morning.

....and an elk bugle..thanks jim. i am going to make your ringtone an elk bugle on my phone. hahah.

Walking into a baseball stadium and seeing the first full glimpse of the field freshly chalked, green grass, red dirt and the scoreboard.

Entering a turn a little too hot, knowing the car can handle it, keeping my foot in it, hitting the apex perfectly and exiting to within a few inches of the edge of the pavement, half terrified, half exhilarated. THAT gives me goosebumps, every time, without fail!
