Stolen in the L.A. area............

Forwarding this for a friend.

A friend of mine had her polo kayak stolen off her car in L.A. last night. If you don't know what a polo kayak is, it's a fiberglass kayak about ten feet long and very low in volume. It's got a white deck (and I think a black carbon hull). It looks kind of like the slalom kayaks you might have seen in the Olympics but with built in bumpers on the ends. Here's a picture of the actual boat.

This is a very specialized boat that very few people will recognize and there is no chance anyone in this country is selling a similar boat - there's probably not another boat like it on this side of the atlantic. So if anyone comes across a craigslist ad or they see someone trying to sell such a boat anywhere, please let me know. Please spread the word to other groups down there if you can.

Thanks,
Bryant Burkhardt

Get one of the Craigslist apps that sends you an e-mail when new listings are posted. Set it up so you get a notice when "Force" shows up under boats.

Thanks for the suggestion. I passed it on to Giselle and we've activated Google Alerts also. She leaves next week for the world finals in Europe and agrees it will be a miracle to recover the boat by then but we're all doing our best.
Thanks Again

Many cases are solved via Craigslist. What area and police department? I'll pass the word, David

I love when the asshat that stole the bike said he bought it on CL, knew it was stolen and that was not a crime. We've got some messed up 20 somethings in this world.

I'm thinking the judge and/or jury will explain it to him using small words that he can understand.
