Red Sox : Green Monster visit sept 8th

Any Red Sox fans here that can give advice on seat selection for the Saturday Sept 8th game ( Red Sox vs Blue Jays). Any sections to avoid? Will descent tickets be hard to find? Wife and I are traveling with another couple and they already said they did not want to spend a lot to see the game. So what sections are reasonably priced but still OK to watch game from?

Don't know what the websites are called, but there are sites that resell season ticket holders' unused seats. My father-in-law (big Red Sox fan) is telling me you can buy seats for less than face value. That's how bad the season is going. But he hates the Red Sox' own website and thinks it (at least) is a ripoff.

Fenway is a legendary place for a reason. It's an incredibly intimate stadium; you never feel like you're that far away from the field and players. So unless you get an obstructed seat (behind a post), I think pretty much every seat is decent, with the exception of the right field seats (a little far out there). Oh, and there are some "box seats" along the right field line (by the right field foul pole) where the seats are actually pointed towards center field (because they were luxury box seats way back when when they were originally built and the field's since been reconfigured). So you spend the entire night with your neck turned 90 degrees. No particular section to avoid for rowdy, belligerent fans.

That's a great pick, I will be traveling with guests from out of country so I will need to get 4 tickets together. I'll keep checking craigslist for another good deal. Don't think I'll top your find.

I have friends that get them off Craigslist all the time, great prices!
