Moderators: Locked out of reporting a post
 

I was trying to report a post and I came to a page that says I'm not authorized.

What's going on?

Yeah, about that....shame you had to find out this way, but.....

OK, I've checked again, and the post is gone, deleted. I expect that was the problem.

It was one of those robo-posts which have linked pictures, which are blank.

Are these robo-posters trying to create more links to increase search engine position?

James, I think there is a rule that you can only report 2 posts every 60 seconds. The other night I was doing some quick reporting of those weird one-line auto-posts we've been getting, and on the 3rd one I got a "not authorized" message similar to what you described. So I waited 60 seconds and continued.

I think it was already reported, and by the time I reported it, the post was gone. The BBS can't handle a report of a non-existent post...

At least everyone is doing their job keeping these off the forums. I see them on the Boxster forum as well. Not a fast forum, so keeping a eye out helps.

it would be a religious post in that case.
