There are additional moderators that cover the entire board and can assist with this as well. Reporting spam posts is always the fastest way to get them gone.

Without that we only see them if we read the thread... ...and I only dip my toe in PARF every once in a while. :)

Please dip your toe in the "911 parts for sale" section" from time to time then!

The current person listed as the "moderator" is MIA there and every day we get people posting who do not have an idea of the rules, then try to argue with you when you post saying there needs to be a price and location on each post.

Wow, we're supposed to be notified when someone is banned? We get to vote on how many and who are to be moderators? Guess I fell asleep somewhere along the line....

I'm a mod on the BMW bike and for sale forums here. I get emails all the time, reporting posts, usually spammers. But they don't always link to the offending thread and I can't always find them, even by going to the forum and looking for them. There should be a fix for this, so that these emails always link to the offending post or thread. A lot of times it's just a link to the spammer's profile and I can't ban them. The BMW bike classifieds are getting crushed with Chinese spammers hawking knock-off handbags and shoes.

I think you did. No widespread notification of banning. It will be mentioned in the thread that caused the ban, if that's the case. Otherwise, behavior against the rules will get you quietly banned.

Try repeatedly advertising new goods or mentioning a Pelican competitor and favorable pricing and you will disappear with no fanfare. And for good and fair reason.

Just give everybody the rights of a moderator and let's have at it!
