Religious arguments aside how can a man murder a baby? Any man? I really need to stop reading the news.

Wow, they should lock him up, lose the key, and tell the other inmates what he did.

No, better to just execute him and get it over with.

He also blamed the mother....it was all her fault he did it.

Millions of babies are killed in the USA. :(

Seems to be from a mix of not wanting to deal with consequences(they will catch up to you anyway), and a lack of caring for others. Lots of stuff out there, movies, school, books, etc, that tell people the earth would be better off without people, so why get hung up over killing someone?

How can this happen? The "religion of peace" would never let any of its followers kill...

but there is nothing specifically islamic about this crime. just a garden variety monster.

Yup, there are " church goin' " people here in the south that would do the same thing. :(

Extreme interpretation. I suppose the same thing could happen for Mormons, Catholics and Baptists, just not as frequently.

and buddhists and pagans, and secular humanists.

this happens often enough that i am no longer shocked by it. disturbing to say, but that's just the truth. women do it as often as men. a lot of sociopaths out there.

5. beers for all.

It's surprising how many people of all groups and types kill babies and tiny children. I don't think being Muslim has anything to do with it.

It sounds like this guy comes from the same culture that believes in honor killing. Also, it was a girl baby, and it seems like females are second class humans in that culture as well. Those cultural idiosyncrasies could certainly have a bearing on the method or his attitude about it.

Yep. I think that the correlation to mental illness trumps any religious connection by about a 1,000,000 to one. Muslims are not known for murdering their children, in fact there is no religion known for that. :cool:

Maybe, but I recently listened to a radio show that featured a gal who claimed to have found hundreds of incidents involving (mostly) women killing children as a way of committing suicide (by execution for their crime) and getting into heaven by confessing their sin to a priest before execution ...which would have absolutely everything to do with religion.

Not trying to stir the shyte but it does happen.
