Computer is widescreen and HD and right in front of you. My TV is small, picture was letterboxed, more commercials, etc. Plus it means I need to have cable. I can get ESPN3 without cable, just need internet. I can get it at school and at home. I like it. The commentators are better, too.

No argument, that's how I watched Sebring last year... But I have kids, little time, and a nice TV, so I like to record the race on DVR and watch when I can. ESPN 3 is live, then it's gone ;-)

It's also no way to attract a broad audience, no matter how they sell this ;-)

Nothing personal here, bunky, but that's 'cause you're a kid. We're old farts and we have TV's 8 times larger than our computer screens. Plus, enough assocoated audio gear to actually feel the noise the cars make. Commercials are handled via DVR.

What the world needs is one set of rules for each class. That would do more for the sport than anything else. If you want to build a car, it can be raced here, in Asia, in Europe, etc. There was some momentun in that direction but it won't happen now. I'd like to see a prototype class for the manufacturers, a mid-level class for the wealthy private teams and a GT class, for up and coming pro drivers. No ****ing amateur drivers. That's what series like the SCCA are for.

Jim France won't be interested in high technology, or keeping his hands off of the rules from week to week. You'll get the same old crap from Grand Am. Low tech spec-quality cars. Do a better job than the other guys? Enjoy your weight penalty.

I remember the heydays of Group 4, 5 and 6, IMSA, Group C, etc. Those were good times and we'll never see them again.

Well, this is going to kill any international participation. Daytone was already dead, now Sebring will become just another national race that nobody watches. Don't think for a minute that NASCAR won't run sports car racing like it does everything else. The ****ers effectively killed their last acquisition, AMA Superbike racing, so I don't expect a better outcome here.

Soon, there will be no racing in the US that matters.
