1957 Aston Martin DBR1/2 Yours for £20 Million

If demand sees the car sold for £22M, it will become the most expensive car ever sold. In the 1957 Aston Martin DB1/2, British car dealer Talacrest may have the most expensive car in the world on its hands. The Berkshire-based classic Ferrari specialist is asking for £20 million, and if demand sees the price rise by £2m, a distinct possibility given the car's pedigree, then it will become the most expensive car ever sold.Motorsport legends Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori raced this Aston to the checkered flag at Le Mans 24 Hours in 1959.

Yeah, there's a guy up here (PNW) who often drives one of those to our local /informal car gathering.

Every time he takes the hood off --and sets it in the bushes-- I think 'huh. bet that hood is worth more than either of my Porsches. :-/

A truly Stunning car.

I'd probably consider it if it were left hand drive.

For a fraction of that, you would think one RMF could have tooled up, cast, machine, fab, bend, cut, hammer, scratch some nuts (or his), whatever and build an identical copy. So what if it would be a fakey? You could even find a few original bits and claim some connection. Look at this listing and yes, its propably legite but it has modern stuff all over the chassis... not as original in 1959. Lovely amazing auto, but not near that price.
