porsche shop in San Francisco CA area

Very likely to have a mid-year 911 soon. SF itself preferred but not required...

DIY using this forum is the best option, IMO. Also, you will likely get better response in the Technical or Regional Forum rather than here in PPOT.

What part of the East Bay?

Moving to unknown destination by the end of this month, but work in SF. More of a SEDI kind of guy.

Only one I can think of, but in San Bruno: GD Racing Never used them, but have heard good things.

Also Porboys in Oakland and S-CAR-GO Racing in San Rafael.

FWIW, I'm up in SF regularly and would be happy to get together and help you learn the car. I completely rebuilt mine and know them well, plus have proper Porsche tools, etc...

SCARGO and Porboys are good places. In the south bay you also have Jerry Woods. I had my SC back when I lived in the SFB area and never needed work at a shop aside from alignments at Roger Kraus in the East Bay.

I'd like that. Lemme know when you're up here again, maybe bring your motorcycle gear...

Aldo's serviced my 911SC when I used to work in the city and for the most part, they (there are two guys named Aldo) did great work. Aldo (the short one) rebuilt the top end and did a fine job. He can be a bit sloppy but he knows the 911.

I now use Peter Wims in San Rafael because the 911 no longer is regularly in SF and Peter is excellent, however I'm very unsure you want to use someone in SF.

PM me if you want more info re Aldo's and welcome to the Bay Area!
