ok, take the Finder -- how do you increase the text size in it?

there is no prefs menu I can find in the Finder... & right click doesn't pull up anything like that either

Finder has no text other than the bar, so there is nothing to prefer. your other programs will have font and size prefs. If you are looking for a one size fits all for all programs that does not exist.

hmmmm... what about the directories and files shown as text in the Finder? any way to make that text larger?

Command+J

Or In the Menu select View->Show View Options at the bottom of the drop down.

Or right click on the desk top.

I finally found a combo of lower (effed up) screen res and View Options | Text Size that can work.

(why couldn't Apple's Senior Tech. Support Advisor figure it out...)


now to figure out where all my sub-dirs (folders) in the pictures dir went -- or how to get iphoto to find them...

Finder > View > View options (lets you set minimum font size)
