Yes, Your Stupid...rant over

Let me tell you...your stupid. Yes STUPID. No matter how many times its explained in even the simplest terms you still dig your heels into the ground and won't give. Won't consider the other point or view. Your stupid plain and simple.

At least those with mental handicaps or 'challenges' as the PC crowd likes to term it are willing to try and understand. Not you. You won't or can't and there is only one reason, that you won't listen to reason and that is because your stupid.

I shall not deal with stupid any longer and I suggest anyone that is not stupid not deal with stupid because as a not-so-stupid actor who played a not-so-stupid character once said 'stupid is as stupid does...'

.....stupid

Well that was fun - better to write that here then send out the e-mail I was tempted to do. That would have been stupid!

"Your" grammar-challenged.

rouxroux 09-06-2012 10:36 AM

...you're?

...just sayin':D

Yep.

So Lubey, sounds like you know someone who is "dumb as a box of hair..."

Always better and more fun to vent here! By the way, missed you when you were offline. Good to have you back.

What makes you think posting it here isn't stupid?

Then vs. than is another area that you will need to read up on. :D

Aren't you an writer/author? And you use "your" in place of "you're"?

Maybe you have someone who proof reads your manuscripts...that's OK.

I usually wait 24 hours before sending anything out which could be construed as negative.

Then I email it to myself.....and wait another 24 hours.

This doesn't happen too often because those who evoke my ire are usually those in traffic - and I don't have their contact info...

Wow! You were so angry you forgot to complete the contraction! Glad you got it off your chest; the evening commute will surely thank you.

(Hope it wasn't your publisher you were so angry with!)

I think you're throwing stones.

Just send the email. If they are that stupid (which I agree; they are stupid) they will get lots of "You're stupid" email and not send you a "nah nah, nah nah" email back. Which would be just stupid anyway.

Comedy Gold.

You're welcome. ;)

If I'm not mistaken, stupid is spelled with two O's.

Zeke 09-06-2012 06:02 PM

In spite of Lube's use of your in lieu of you're being repeatedly pointed out, he continues to do it. I have come to the conclusion that that's the way it is taught in schools. I do believe over half the population of native English speakers/writers use that form.

One of 2 things needs to take place: either spell it you'r or ur. If the majority uses your for both forms, then it's the process of the majority rules. Now, on Pelican, it's not the majority. On the welding forums you will hardly ever see you're. 90% "your" for both uses.

Time to let it go. I have. Once I said I would never hire anyone who made the mistake. Now, I would just require all communication to be routed through me and focus on other aspects of performance.
