Any Pelicans Interested?

Saw these in a neighbors garage. He had 2 sets of bike wheels for $85 a set and some motorcycle repair mats new for $25. Are these good deals. Garage saleale is tomorrow A.M.

Looks like a good deal for general use. Amazon has them for $235 a set for 700c wheels.

Amazon.com: Vuelta Zerolite Pro 700c Road Bike Wheelset: Sports & Outdoors

If I had the cash, I'd get them.

I am not if that's a great deal? Vuelta Zerolite Track Wheelset - Overweight Code W

Or Vuelta 700C ZEROLITE ROAD COMP SET BLACK

I don't think the Nashbar set is the same as the items for sale, but the Cycle Club Sports are. Regardless, Amazon's are overpriced. The seller is still asking for less than all three stores though.

i think his pics are Zerolite comps? I can't really see it. For 30-40 bucks difference, I rather not buy used. Unless you know the owner.

Cantdrive,

For that price, buy em' and take em' out for a good beating.

$85 then ship to me? Nah, like you said, rather buy new for $40 more plus shipping. Now, if the seller was local...

it only about four and half hour drive down for you. Get those oil going in that little motor back there.

They are brand new and he would sell me both sets for $100, I don't have a road bike so I really don't have a need for them.

I'd be interested in those motorcycle mats, but my guess is that it would be impractical to ship them. If not, let me know.

Thanks Craig.

He has 2 large and 1 smaller that he'd let go, $25 for all. Where are you located?

Jandrews 09-08-2012 07:22 AM

Im in Kansas City. Zip Code 66085

craigster59 09-08-2012 08:14 AM

What the heck, I walked down there and bought mats and wheels. The mats are a 3'x6' and 2 ea. 2'x6', if you want them Jandrews I can ship them.

The wheels are a set for road bike and a set for a "fixie".

Thanks Craig!! I could really use those mats!! I have three bikes that would fit perfectly on them in my garage! I'm just worried that shipping would make it not worthwhile. Any idea?

Thanks!!

JA

PM me your address. UPS picks up from work, I can bundle the boxes and find out a shipping cost. I ended up paying $20 for all 3.

craigster59 09-11-2012 10:36 AM

Just bumping this back up. Wheels are spoken for but the mats are still up for grabs if Jandrews doesn't want them. $250 worth of new mats for $20.
