911 over the edge on Angeles Crest

Saw this on the local television news last night - a black 911 coupe that went over the edge on Angeles Crest and ended upside down. Tough to tell more, but I'd guess a 964. Driver is still missing. Plate apparently comes back to an address in La Crescenta. Anybody we know?

Stolen Car?

HardDrive 09-08-2012 05:39 PM

Stolen, or the owner was drunk/on drugs and wanted some downtime before talking to the police.

Sounds like driver was found and police spoke with them today. Nothing in the story about circumstances of the accident. I could easily see trying to buy time before speaking with the authorities, but I could also see trying to hike to help if I was mobile. Being over the edge and 200 feet down, you couldn't assume that someone had seen you and/or that help was coming.

I heard it was a Cayenne.

This is going to be an intelligent thread.

Have you considered a future in fortune telling?

kevin993 09-08-2012 08:53 PM

At the risk of spoiling your fun, there were some obviously incorrect media reports suggesting that the car was a Porsche SUV. The Cayanne rumor and comment wasn't off base or a poke at an "off-road" Porsche, so this thread doesn't need to get goofy unless you make it so.

NO, I learned all I need to know reading PPOT. Therefore anyone can see it. It's not any kind of prediction; it's certainty.

Just wait for the babblers.

My thoughts too. It certainly helps with insurance and avoiding driving convictions. "I'm terribly sorry to have caused all this concern officer, I got a bang on my head and wandered the desert for two days then woke up at this nice lady's house."

The Halle Berry defense, get in an accident, leave return when sober.

Considering that there is another thread on the first page right now about someone who that exact thing happened to, (and he died), it might not be the best time to be making light of it.

Just sayin'.

Didn't a member here pull that stunt & brag about it here??

The sensitive police are out today again.

Umm, I don't think cause of death was from wandering around. I suspect it was from a cause of death not uncommon to teens.

I think it was from a head injury in a car accident. But carry on.

I don't think it's appropriate for us to discuss it.
