Anonymous Vs. GoDaddy - Anonymous Wins
 

I'm not sure how many of you are in the ISP/IT field, but there's been some pretty significant news today regarding Go Daddy going dark:

GoDaddy says it is the "largest hosting provider of secure websites in the world." - Anonymous member claims to take down GoDaddy - CNN.com

I know this affects many of my clients, just curious how many of you were affected?

It's quite a historical event, so I can't really be mad.

I bet Danica Patrick was responsible for the crash :)

But but but, what about the scantily-clad bimbos?
How can we have the interwebs (and nascar) without bimbos?

I got a spam email with "important information about the godaddy outtage" that had a 'for more information' link that redirect somewhere; don't know where, I didn't go down the rabbit hole.

Not sure what happened.... if it was a hack that compromised data, or if it was a DOS attack. But either way this is a significant event, and whoever did it is looking at serious jail time (if they are caught).

If it's just a DOS attack, then he has no marketable skills, and most of all there are thousands of people out there who lost money over this, and they'll be wanting a pound of flesh. So will his new cell-mate. It'll be interesting to see if he ever gets caught.

In case you didnt know why GoDaddy has been on Anonymous' radar... It is said that GoDaddy's initial support for SOPA and PIPA to bend over for the MAFIAA and general lack of care for their clients' rights are what led them to be targeted. I guess security is not just for cadavers, Mr. Parsons.

So, the GoDaddy car hit the wall again, huh?
