Just bragging for a minute.............

My youngest, Shelby , turns 16 today and I couldn't be prouder of her. She's very smart ( with aspirations of a career in neuroscience) is a very gifted artist, and just an allround good kid.

Looks like the kind of girl I would have chased in school. Smart, nerdy and artsy.

Good job sir.

No, that's her moms car. She was looking over my shoulder as I was searching for a Triumph Spitfire GT6 on ebay. Said she'd settle for one of those. So guess who's in the market for a GT6.

Congrats!

Just think how lucky you are to have a kid you so highly regard and deserves it. Lots of parents can't say those things about their kids. Congrats.

Great job dad! Keep it up and tell her Happy B'day from us.

Hard-Deck 09-13-2012 09:27 PM

Excellent! Great parenting!

cstreit 09-13-2012 09:31 PM

Glad you are proud of her independant spirit! That confidence and independence will continue to build a fine person!

lendaddy 09-13-2012 09:32 PM

Congrats, she looks just like one of my buddies daughters (same age too), I'd post a doppelganger pic but that would be creeperesque.

Noah930 09-13-2012 09:37 PM

Congrats to both of you.

Truth be told her mother gets all the credit. I haven't been in the picture all that long. She and her sister adopted me after I started dating their mother. Her sister is managing a McDs while she's studying to be a clinical psychologist.

Ideal first car for a teen: big and slow. I know you know what I'm talking about.

Think midsize boat like an early 90's era Taurus... and detune it. :)

Seriously, she may be just smart enough for a GT6, but it doesn't offer any crash protection.

But what do I know... maybe you're planning to put a full cage in it. :D

BTW... congrats on raising a cool kid.

Dude, you're gonna be doing a lot of gun cleaning on Friday and Saturday nights in the coming years.
