We use them now on the road for car crashes we film. Seen them run over and they still work.

Clearly, that's impressive that the thing lived, but what I find cool is that it is dedicated enough to always point towards the action. Even when it landed it still managed to record the sky divers' landings.

Now in 993 land ...

Terminal velocity on that camera is probably reached at 1/10 of the height it fell. It still is impressive. The guy who came up with that camera has made a fortune - rightfully so, IMHO. It would just be nice if they would not just be designed but also manufactured in the US of A.
One thing I have read is that the prevalence of these cameras has lead to people pulling crazier stunts than they used to, as now they can post their stuff on youtube for everyone to see. (One of the worst examples are probably the base / bat suit jumpers). G |

Take it back up with wings on it. Or its own little chute. It deserves to be free.

Hmmmm..... I find it very odd that it landed a few feet from the landing zone. Realistically, it should have landed much further away, as the green light to jump takes into account winds aloft, and can be a very far distance away from the LZ. Could be a coincidence, but it is very odd. I'm calling shenanigans

The first 2:40 or so of the video sucked. I would never buy one of those things...

I'm calling BS on this one. Maybe it would have lived, but to find it?
