I want to watch some TV but don't want cable or satellite...

what are my options besides rabbit ears?

I have an Apple TV box and streaming Netflix account for movies and YouTube but would like to watch the news and some TV shows. Can I get rid of cable or satellite and still watch Top Gear? My wife would like to continue watching the Kardashians.

I think your choices are Roku, WDTV, Apple TV and google TV.

I have Roku and its great. Particularly like the Amazon instant streaming. The news offerings aren't great though.

I love my Roku with Netflix, my wife and I rarely watch regular tv, and always have something to watch.

There are many sites out there to watch TV. Google 1 Channel, TV-Links, etc. It takes some time to find good sources and you need an AdBlocker plugin (just to be safe) but I've found countless shows.
