Precisely why so much of my house is paneled. But throwing mud into a joint is easier for me than plumbing. However...rocking a ceiling is best handled by pros on stilts.

1950's sprinkler systems are absolutely the worst things to deal with in the history of home ownership.

Sorry for my rudeness, but you just seem like a very decent dude!

I know why you ask. Well, I grew up in Echo park. I have been asked that alll my life due to my carelessness when writing, especially when typing because my brain is about 100 miles an hour ahead my fingers ( I type 14 words a minutes or something like that). I caught hell using a typewriter as a kid. Not proofing reading is my major fault in life as I constantly go back and insert missing word back into a sentence without paying real attention when typing. Lots of grammatical mistake along the way. I am shock when I actually reread my own post. My speech isn't like that at all.

Drywall. Working in attic with fiberglass insulation in summer. Working on the second story of a roof with damp cedar shingles.

Soldering is is more difficult with no-lead. solder.

Replacing old 4 inch diameter rotted out, stinky, dirty, heavy CAST iron SEWER pipes. Especially in a crawl space with spiders. Me no more!

Currently loathe fixing appliances that are "built-in". Spent 15 minutes replacing a dryer heat element last night but over 2 hours wrestling with moving it out into a space where I couldn't lay flat to work on it. After disassembly, reassembly (twice...4 "extra" screws??), attaching the flexible exhaust hose...now kinked when dryer is pushed back in, pulling out the front-load washer out to get to said hose, moving the dryer back in with my shin while feeding the vent hose over the dryer pipe...uggghhh.

I buy a second wax ring, its a few bucks, and I hate going 10 miles back to HD for $2-$3.

Oh yeh... learned to always buy two. If success on the first, return the second.... but then usually forget to do that... ^&%^$ toilets! No wonder those plumbers get paid well.
