Have my old VIN, Carfax says its registered in FL, how do I contact current owner?

Anyone know of ANY way to find the name and address of a current owner? I'd like to contact them via mail and inquire about reacquiring a vehicle with a ton of sentimental value and was regrettably sold.
Carfax of the VIN says its still being registered every year in FL.
PM's welcome
Thanks

I,d start by calling a Florida licensing office . Perhaps your insurance agent has a way of searching .

The license bureau will do a search for $10 where I live if you have a plate #. I don't think they will VIN search...

I actually think it's an invasion of privacy. There are a lot of scenarios where people shouldn't be given addresses in this manner.

Plate SearchCarfax is worse, IMHO. You could see a plate on the Internet of a car you wanted to steal and get the address. If you have the VIN, you're probably not unfamiliar with the car.
I'd be happy to have a third party agency intermediate so their identity isnt compromised unless they wanted it to be.
