downtown center. The only thngs out by the M/B museum are soccer fields (did not help that one time we were there was during world cup)...One hint on the M/B tour: Be sure to point your electronics pack at both the "historical" and "engineering" spots of each display. HAVE A CAMERA! The long spiral down through the museum should NOT be rushed. Look at the chronologically-arranged displays on the wall as well as the different vehicles as you spiral down. KEEP YOUR LANYARD!!!! (Do the New Porsche museum 1st, THEN the M/B...not that the Porsche museum is bad, it's just that the M/B is that much more!)

Hohenzollern Castle is about an hour and half drive south of Stuttgart. I visited there thismpast February - will post up picks of the castle and the surrounding forest with the crystallized snow on the branches - it was truly magical. Didn't do the tour since in the off season they only do tours in German. Hiked up to the castle - was quite a hike in the cold winter air. Walked around the carle grounds - was really a neat experience.

Was a highlight of my last business trip there.

Going to Berlin soon for another business trip - any ideas for that city?

Start a new thread on that and I'll give you some ideas.

the tower behind the cannon has a really neat family tree painted on it's interior wall...
you will see that the British & other Euro royal families married into the HZ tree..

the wall also shows a crack line from a long ago earthquake..
