If I put 65,000 would any of you guys get it or care?

Way back when troglydites were running, a 2:09 was unbelievable stuff.
I remember when Dick Beardsley and Alberto Salazar duked it out at the New York Marathon. I couldn't understand how men could run that fast. Fast forward to this time "2:04:38. That (if my math is correct) equates to 26 back to back 4:45 miles. Wow! I remember running the San Luis Obispo mile in 4:44 and I almost died. That was only one mile. I was sucking so much air and was 100% spent at the finish. The purse wasn't so big back in the early eighties. Now, you can live pretty comfortable with runs of 2:10 and faster. |
