Gold Star for targa911S

Just wanted to say that I had some shotgun work done by David. He does fine work and is fantastic to deal with. I would not hesitate to have him work for me again, nor to spend time with him when the opportunity arises. We are fortunate to have a resource like this forum to use and enjoy, and the individuals who are members here are a remarkable group. If you have need of his abilities, I enthusiastically endorse using David, and taking the opportunity to get to know him.

This is not a thread about a shotgun, or specific work done on said firearm, rather this thread is about a good guy who I am glad I know. He did work on a Savage/Stevens SXS 20ga that is rather dear to me. David does fine work, and won't turn his nose up at pieces that are less than museum-grade, and while that's great, what is special is how positive an experience working with him is. What could have been an impersonal transaction has instead been enhanced by his easy-going friendship. Just tossing it out there because I thought it might be worth knowing.

Thank you Jim. It was a pleasure meeting both you and your lovely daughter. You sent me home grown honey, how could I not want to be friends with people like you. People like yourself with projects that are dear to their hearts are what I like doing best really. I don't do this for the money, I'm retired and play music as well. Rather I do this for the human spirit I encounter along the way. It was a my pleasure.

***I'll gladly pay you for honey, any time it's available. A hot cup of tea and your honey has become my bedtime ritual. Thanks.

+100. I decided to buy a carry piece , and not really being a gun guy , David was the first person I thought of when I was thinking where to purchase. I sent him a pm, and he told me when he would be in the shop, so I shot up there last Friday with my Dad. He is only about a 30 minute ride for us, and it was a great fall day to ride through the Pennsylvania country side Got to meet him, his giant Airdale and the guys at the shop, was a good all around experience, and he is the same stand up guy in person, as he is here on the boards..
Let me tell you guys who have not met him in person, he is a tall sob, and he has a presence about him.
The guys at the shop took good care of me, David showed me some guns, and we got to shoot the shiat about cars for a little bit, all and all a good experience.
Thanks David!, hoping to catch a gig of yours one of these days as well. your practically in my backyard.

Hey Fred. It was a pleasure meeting both you and your Dad that day. Thanks for thinking of us when you wanted to make a purchase as well. I felt bad as we were busy that day and I know we talked about lunch before you visited. ...I owe you one buddy. We will be in Pittsburgh at Moondogs for the benefit for the PHG Food Bank. A good cause and a fun day of blues. I believe that date is 11/11. I will post details as I get them. We were just at Jergals. Awesome place to play.
