iPhone 4s, my first Apple product

Our family was long over due with our Verizon contract. Our phones were old and our plan was questionable compared to other's plans.
Long story short. We (my wife, daughter, and myself) bought iPhone 4s phones.
Its my first Apple product for myself ever. My wife has an iPad and loves it. My daughter has an iTouch and loves it. I'm the dinosaur in the family.
I am adapting okay to the new phone but have a couple questions.

I tried to reply to a Pelican PM through my phone this weekend and there was NO option to reply that I could see. I have been able to reply to regular email, text, and so forth, just not a Pelican PM. For regular Pelican forum replies, all I see is the "quick reply" option. What am I missing?

BTW, Siri rocks! Proof that even old dogs can be taught new tricks. :D :D :D

Pelican is broken on safari, you have to download tapatalk to reply to PMs....

Geez, even my ancient old Windows mobile phone works with Pelican w/o issue.

All of these app's (in a sea of useless apps) which one has to be in the know about.

it reminds me of this.

Fwiw.... You can't reply to a pm from an iPhone, because pelican will only load the iPhone optimized page on an iPhone. The problem lies in the iPhone optimized page. It looks like the code wasn't quite finished. I have no problem replying via my iPad, which loads regular pelican.

So iLand.... It's not apples fault this time. It's pelican, which forces you to the optimized version on the iPhone...

Yup. Wayne created a special format for the iPhone, which needs a little TLC.

The iPhone is a COMPUTER not a phone per se. If you think if it that way and use it that way you'll discover the breadth of its functionality better. Congrats on the 4S btw. Good choice.

It was not Wayne, it's the stock mobile version of VBulletin that he has enabled.

Other forums that employ it do allow you to switch to the "regular" version but for some reason not Pelican.

That decision may be under Wayne's control.

I can open Pelican BB in Safari and reply to a thread but i use tapatalk and it's very simple.

I copy the pm and "start" a new message back.
