Do they put lamp-shades on cats like they do dogs?

Hello.
Sorry. Posting again.

Anyway you guys are not dumb.
So I am asking some advice on my cat that got nailed by a car a little more than a week ago.
The cat is better, but not the same!

He had a magnificent tail. I always wished to put perhaps an advertisement -flag wise- on the end of his structure.

Now, the tail drags. It's like a foxtail. It picks up and attracts everything from his crap box. So he licks it clean and ingests feces so in turn he gets DIARREHA!!(sp)
He stinks..

He's been licking the inside base of his tail raw. I can see it and it makes me want to puke.
I am trying to save money. If I don't have to take him back to the Vet that is good..for me anyways.

I will be giving him a bath tomorrow along with my Son's -stupid- "visitation" because I will need help for this .

So, first.... is there an Antiseptic spray that doesn't sting and tastes awful??
This would prevent the cat from licking.
And can one only purchase those embarrising lampshades from a vet ?

Bitter Apple. It's a spray to keep dogs/cats from chewing on hot spots. Tastes like ****, trust me. Does not always work but at a coupla bucks for a bottle always worth a shot. Get it at your local pet store.

You should be able to get the cone at your pet store as well or just ask your vet for one.

You can get an Elizabethan collar and bitter apple at your local PetSmart.

probably broke it's tail and it's now paralyzed?
It might be better to amputate it to avoid the issues you mentioned.

The lampshade does come in cat size, but typically causes a defect in his gearbox as once installed, he loses his forward gear and will only go in reverse. Peculiar.

Get him to a vet.

Best post of the day!

Take the cat to a no kill shelter and let be adopted by someone who will take care of it.

+1000 That cat needs help, and I don't think that the OP wants to care for it properly.
