I can't believe it today is my wifes birthday and I forgot I have never done this in the 34 years we've been married man I feel bad. She was crying because neither of the boys remembered either.........a bad day. Going to take her out to dinner tomorrow and buy her flowers but it's after the fact. Man I feel bad.

I sort of forgot once. I thought about it several times in the weeks leading up to her birthday, but then didn't say/do anything the day of her birthday. I felt horrible, and she wasn't happy.

Gotta make that up the best you can. Good luck with that bc she'll never forget that you forgot. I'd have to be an idiot to miss my wife's b-day. After all her b-day is 6-9-69. Lol!

Anniversaries, now that's another thing....

She will never forget. I haven't missed one but I have been sub par on occasion with the present/celebration etc. Especially her 50th . . . and THAT I will never live down.

Good luck.

If you always have a present wrapped and ready to go, you haven't forgotten. It just slipped your mind that today was the day, and you go get your gift and present it.

I have one ready to go right now.

My mom and sister have the same b-day, mom in 1947 and sister in 1974. Should be easy to remember. Dad and I forgot around 1983. Mom and sister bought themselves a cake and brought it home. The icing read, "Happy Birthday to Us." True story.

This year Mrs. Lee and I spent my b-day on a flight to Germany. She didn't say a word about my b-day. During a layover in Chicago, I got several phone calls from friends and family wishing me happy b-day. Wife still said nothing. Two days later I finally asked her about it. She said she hadn't forgotten it and I'd be getting a present. Never got it, never got a happy b-day from her, nothing.

A few weeks ago we were at a family wedding in WA and it was her b-day. I remained silent about it the whole time. My folks wished her a happy b-day and I just smiled.

Last week she complained that I'm going to be on a business trip during our five year anniv. Darn. I wonder how Xmas is gonna be.

Now Dan here knows where it's all at and what it's about. All guys need to keep something stashed in a secret spot that you can retrive when you forget one of the special "days". Disclaimer.......candy is NOT suitable for long term storage!

Sounds like someone is playing with fire. You may not get laid for a couple of years if you keep that up Rick.

Sorry, but you are cursed for the next 364 days. Don't spend money on flowers or **** like that, spend it on a hotel room - for yourself. Again sorry, but how could you be so stupid?

This got me thinking. I wonder if our fathers caught hell for it if they forgot it back then? Somehow, it seem that things have changed over the years. I am sure they(the girls) didn't like it if their birthday was forgotten back then, but did they acted the same way as the modern day women.
