Locating Cell # Owner Info
I am worried about who my high school daughter's new friends are...I am struggling with trust issues with her... she does not have a good track record...is there a good service that I can use to get owner info for cell #, I am willing to pay for a service but any advice from this brain trust would go a long way....

You might be surprised by what you can find by just typing the phone number, including area code, into a google search. Put quote marks around the phone number to limit the search to that exact number.

As creepy as it is, try typing it into facebook with spaces (xxx xxx xxxx.) It has worked occasionally for me in the past if I have a random missed call and the number is not in my contacts list on my phone.

I have already tried to google search... no luck
|
good luck!! damn.

Guessing I will subscribe with a service..does anyone have any experience or recommendation? Cost?

social engineering. just call the number "hey is this [fake name here]? oh oops, must have gotten numbers mixed up. this is [some person from school] from school. whose number is this?"

Why not just clone her cell phone and listen in on everything?

Calling them doesn't sound like a bad idea. Communication can solve a lot of issues.
If things are really bad, and words don't work, invite them over to dinner, and spend the whole time polishing "spoons". This sorts out a lot! I've known a few girl's dads that did this. "Stupid" trying to get in with daughter got the message through his head that he was stupid to continue. |
Punch in *67 and call the number. That will block your number. If they don't answer you may have try without blocking caller ID.
