I need some creative solutions
My 1976 Jeep CJ5 plow truck has seen some much better days. It's clutch quickly develops massive amounts of free-play. Well, after some investigation, it became quite obvious the entire firewall is flexing (a lot) every time the clutch is depressed. There is no solid area of the firewall to weld a reinforcement in. I was thinking a long piece of angle-iron might do the trick. I have a really crappy picture of the area I'm talking about.

I do not want to put much money into this thing at all, as it is one of the most rusty vehicles I have ever had the pleasure of working on, and it might be ready for the bone-yard. It is strictly a plow vehicle, and never leaves my property, so the most "out there" ideas are welcome!
