Absolutely beautiful. I wish I lived in a place the had a real Fall. Couldn't take the winters though.

yes winter sucks.. but these woods are pretty in the winter also.

I used to live in Boston and would drive up to New Hampshire to check out the Fall colors.
Take a date up to see the Fall colors in the DB4 when I was in college in the late 70's was a sure hit, I mean score. I do miss that, but not what follows (Winter). Although Winters in New England I hear are not as brutal as when I lived there in the 60's and 70's. My birthday is the end of January and as a little kid my memory was of really brutal cold for months, and feet and feet of snow that lingered for ever.

nothing has changed. I moved here 6 years ago from Tampa/Clearwater. Snow is snow. It sucks. But winter is when the workbench is in full swing. Keeps me from committing suicide.

Nice photos David....I really enjoyed seeing them.
Even though I am in Florida I still take notice of the change in color we have with some species...the bald cypress, red maples, sycamores, and sweet gum to name a few. Again...very beautiful - and love seeing your very cool home again as well!

Thanks Baz. It was super this summer surrounded by hosta plants in bloom. My house really belongs in CA. I miss Florida, jacaranda's and some really nice trees that are native. You have a fall...it's called spring!

It will be all brown by the end of the month, and on the ground. I have mulched leave 3 times in 7 days and it will look like I didn't do a thing by morning next day.

Well past peak here. Not great colors this year... mostly yellow ..hardly any red.
Taken last Fri. (and yeah those are snow flurries).  This one was taken 10/2/12
