Rear-View Cameras
I see them advertised in certain, newer vehicles (OEM). I would love to put one on the back of my Silverado pickup. What a great aid that would be when hooking up the boat or car-hauler trailer(s).
I haven't even started to look in the aftermarket. Thought I would ask here first. Anyone here installed one - or maybe recommend a particular one? I assume I could mount it in the rear bumper and I want as small and unobtrusive a screen in the cab as possible. TIA. |

This looks like a good low tech solution. $33 http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1350938186.jpg |
I have this on my F250 for backing up
Peak Wireless backup camera Though I find the "two stick" method best for getting the trailer on the ball |
Check EBay, there are a multitude of pickup solutions that mount a camera in the rear badge and the screen in the rear view mirror. It's the exact same implementation as my 2012 F150 OEM camera. It's an awesome tool for hooking up a trailer, and makes backing the beast safer as well.

I'm operating a Cat track-hoe with one mounted on the back. I really like it.
