Another new to me bass ....

Lookey what I found at Guitar center yesterday! Yepper a Fender Aerodyne PJ bass. It's very used as somebody loved this bass but abused it. It plays great but it has some bad dings in it from just plain old neglect. I restrung it, set it up for me and gave her a deep cleaning, and she jumped right back to life. I traded the Epiphone Explorer bass I had for it. The Epi was a plank with a half of a baseball bat for a neck. Although it looked cool and sounded good, the neck was huge on it and I would prolly not play it very much. We pretty much traded even. I had to pay the tax on $350.00. I think that was a good deal. These basses are MIJ's and $800 new. ...yeah I know, another Fender in my stable.

This is the worst of it's "character marks".. I could fix it but probably won't. You really can't see it, and it doesn't effect it's playing so it's just a road scar.

Oh Todd spends MUCH more on his basses than I do. I'm a pauper by comparison. I gotta sell one to buy one too. I just got lucky yesterday.

PJ ftw.

I think you have more than me - I'm stable at 5 basses. I've got a few on order, but something will leave to make room for them.

That actually looks a lot like the bass version (there is none) of the EVH Wolfgang. Pretty cool with the binding.

Look what I got on Thurs.

The pink is the rarest color and I love it! After that and the Soldano I just bought, I am selling my Les Paul and Marshall head to raise cash. I'm done shopping for a while.

Rick, you need a purple Soldano...

I am still exploring the latest bass. Here's a snippet from the first gig of a double header today. Looped the bass line then solo'd over it. With a high-C, I get to wank too

This is my Soldano. There are many like it, but this one is mine. I will re-tolex it in the future, but probably guards red.

One of the builders at Soldano had his own baby blue tolexed SLO in 200W on eBay a few weeks ago for $7k. He personally guaranteed to repair for life. I wonder how old he is.

Kitara

Saw Muse last night and the bass player used this bass with a "touch pad" instead of strings. Check it out.

Misa Digital Kitara Demo - YouTube

BTW, Muse is a very interesting band in my estimation. If you haven't already, you should give 'em a listen.
