My last named is Shukys which was changed fom Sukis when gramps got off the boat from Europe. Shukys actually rhymes with cookies but no one could pronounce my name. Friends started calling me shake n bake well before Ricky Bobby and it got shortened to Shakin or ShakinJoe.

My college friends still call me Shakin.

My favorite job while I was in the military, 12 of my 25 years were working with the pups. :D

I was active duty when I joined PP. I was Operations Department LCPO, I was also the most senior CPO ( Chief ) on the ship. One of my guys told my division that I was the crustiest, saltiest mofo in the Navy. It morphed into Crustychief.

The first porsche I ever owned on my own was a 944 turbo.
The first letter of my first name is T
Hence T951.
Should I keep it updated? T997S?

Ok, once again I will explain my moniker. Long ago in the day, I used to write software code primarily C and C++ . Lot of the work was with arrays and I could never just use bland counter variable names (e.g. i, u, z etc.). I was trying to be cute at the time and used the word "zot." Well, we were doing a code review once on a Federal contract, and some dweeb complained about my variable name. They wanted to know who was using "zot", and I said it was I, I am the "zotman."
The 72 is for my first and still favorite 911, 1972 T.

I tried to teach one of my girlfriends in college to use "significant" variable names. She liked to use things like her favorite colors, names of friends, etc.

Way back in the day, there was a magazine called National Lampoon. There was story in there about 'Cousin Leopold'. The story told of a kid's uncle billy, who has a son that he named 'unclebilly' and another son, also named 'unclebilly'. Everyone was relieved when uncle billy named his third son 'cousin leopold'... this is about all I recall from the story but it was mildly amusing.

I think my favorite story from that magazine was 'multilated staples', it was about working in a salvage food store...

jcommin 11-04-2012 08:52 PM

jcommin was my first screen name used where I work. J is first letter of my first name, commin is 2 letters short of my last name. Have used it a very long time.

slakjaw 11-05-2012 07:47 AM
