Living in a non-swing state has its advantages

Not to go PARF, but living in a solid "Red" state or "Blue" state has its advantages. I can only imagine how weary those of you in Ohio or Florida or Virginia or Iowa are feeling about the campaign ad asssaults.

This little girl sums it up regardless of your political leanings.

I was getting about a call an hour from the republicans and about 1/4th that from democrats. For the past two days - crickets. It's been nice.

Just saw where the two candidates have spent $181 MILLION in Ohio alone for those 18 electoral college votes.

THAT is nuckin' futs.

Living in the swing state I can tell you that the little girl is correct!

Here is the summary of what I have learned from the thousands of commercials I was subjected to in October.

Apparently both of the major candidates are unworthy of the job:)

If I lived in the States I would consider living in Wyoming. It does not seem to register with anybody and has little political impact. Have not been there for about 30 years but I would think that it has not changed? Are there any Wyoming Pelicanites out there to defend their political turf? Sometimes ignorant is bliss.

Would be much better if each electoral vote was counted, as opposed to statewide ...

Wyoming can't be bought still the most independent state I know.

Less than 600,000 People in the state. It will be the last Red state.

Conservative = Wyoming

Obama did not win one single county in Oklahoma 4 years ago.

Ya can't get more solid red that that. I have not see one single commercial for either candidate. I don't want to see any, ever.

No wonder the economy is doing better in Ohio...

OTOH, imagine what it would cost to advertise your business there, right now.

Some years ago we bought a small spread in WY adjoining my buddy's ranch. Definitely looking forward to making the move ASAP--but it's contingent on getting a few things squared away down here in AZ. :(

Where?

BlueSkyJaunte 11-02-2012 10:08 AM

In the general vicinity of the teeming metropolis of Casper. ;)

Here in "blue Oregon" we're pretty much free of Obama/Romney ads...but the mud slinging locals more than make up for it.
